One of the most iconic figures in video games is getting the movie treatment once again. According to THR, Graham King and his GK Films have acquired the feature film rights to ‘Tomb Raider’ and will reboot the franchise for 2013.

A writer for the project has not been found yet, but GK Films might be looking to do an origin story as apposed to continuing her adventures.

Angelina Jolie starred in the two previous ‘Tomb Raider’ pictures, but with the new direction the series seems to be heading in, they will be looking for another actress to play Lara Croft.

The next ‘Tomb Raider’ game will be developed by Crystal Dynamics and will be published by Square Enix (VG247).
