Last week, ‘Hop’ proved talking animals brings Box Office success even if your movie is stale, making ‘Hop’ the number 1 grossing movie in America last week.  ‘Source Code’ managed to do respectable numbers coming in at 2nd of the Box Office over the weekend.  This week there are three anticipated films coming out, which gives a little taste of what to expect this summer.

Hanna-posterHanna

Synopsis: A 16-year-old who was raised by her father to be the perfect assassin is dispatched on a mission across Europe, tracked by a ruthless intelligence agent and her operatives.
Buzz: Even though Hanna is not reviewing well, I’ve heard nothing but good things about the picture. Saoirse Ronan steals the show as Hanna and it’s amazing that this action film is coming from the director of ‘Atonement‘.

Your Highness

Synopsis: When Prince Fabious’s bride is kidnapped, he goes on a quest to rescue her… accompanied by his lazy useless brother Thadeous.
Buzz: This has a cast of such pedigree (James Franco, Natalie Portman, Danny Mcbride) where could they go wrong? If early word is anything to go by, the film doesn’t even come close to capturing the same level of humor that the directors last film ‘Pineapple Express’, managed to generate.

Arthur

Synopsis: A drunken playboy stands to lose a wealthy inheritance when he falls for a woman his family doesn’t like.
Buzz: A remake of a film by the same name, Arthur brings Russell Brand into the spotlight once again after last week’s ‘Hop’. Helen Mirren adds her charm to the film and it looked promising. Key word – looked.
