Twitch reported this morning that Rooney Mara has been targeted for the lead female role in Spike Lee‘s ‘Oldboy‘. Twitch also mentions that while their news doesn’t represent a formal offer, they were right with their sources regarding the involvement of Josh Brolin, so we should believe them here.
Rooney Mara’s star couldn’t be brighter at the moment. After appearing in ‘The Social Network‘, she will be staring in the international sensation, ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo‘. I think she has the right degree of fragility and fierceness to play the complicated part in ‘Oldboy‘. This will be updated should Rooney Mara be officially signed for the part.
