Robert Downey Jr. May Star in ‘Inherent Vice’ for P.T. Anderson
Robert Downey Jr. has recently dropped out of ‘Oz, the Great and Powerful’ and according to THR may take the lead in ‘Inherent Vice‘. ‘Inherent Vice’ would be P.T. Anderson‘s first film since the critically acclaimed ‘There Will Be Blood’. Anderson has been working on the script while trying to get funding for another one of his scripts sometimes referred to as ‘The Master’.
Robert Downey Jr. would then be booked for quite a while. Wrapping up shooting on ‘Sherlock Holmes 2’, Downey also has ‘Iron Man 3’ and ‘The Avengers’ to shoot in the near future.
‘Inherent Vice’ is written by Thomas Pynchon and its about a stoner detective who gets into a number of mysteries during 1969. Sounds like a great vehicle for Downey to star in.
