Every Critic,
Down in Critic-ville,
Liked “The Social Network” a lot

But the Guilds,
Who liked safe movies,
Did Not!

The guilds hated “The Social Network”
They hated the whole cast!
Now, please don’t ask why. No one quite knows the reason.
It could be they are too old fashioned
It could be perhaps, they’re afraid of change
But I think the most likely reason of all
Is that “The King’s Speech” is pure Guild bait.

‘The King’s Speech’ has now won the PGA, SAG, and DGA.  I believe that a changing of fate has taken place.  ’The Social Network’, once the front-runner for Best Picture this Awards season, has been dethroned by ‘The King’s Speech’.  No other film has been loved by critics as much as ‘The Social Network’ and now in the pivotal moment it has faltered.  ’The King’s Speech’ is poised to win Best Picture at the 83rd Academy Awards.
