Impassionedcinema goes to NYCC 2011

Posted October 12, 2011 by Max in Festivals/Conventions

I’ll be heading out to NYCC 2011 tomorrow morning. For those who don’t know what NYCC is…

New York Comic Con is the East Coast’s biggest and most exciting popular culture convention. Our show floor plays host to the latest and greatest in comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies, and television.

Consider it the East Coast version of the San Diego Comic Con, but this convention is still in it’s infancy. We won’t be getting all the big names that San Diego got, but hopefully the more people who go next year’s can be even bigger. While there isn’t too much about film going on at the convention, I’m big into most of the other things they have going on so I’ll be satisfied.

I plan on doing nightly posts recapping the days events. I would also like to bring my new microphone and do some audioboo recordings, but we’ll see how much time I have. I don’t know what the rules are on pictures or interviews, but hopefully I can get some interesting things to share. Now to announce the panels I will ‘try’ to attend. Obviously I can’t be in three places at once so it’s one of the three on Friday. On Saturday, I’ll have to choose between ‘Walking Dead’ or ‘Avengers’ unless they let me into Avengers without waiting in line.
