Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 for Best Picture?

Warner Bros has decided to mount a campaign to get Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 an Oscar nomination.

There are a lot of reason’s Warners would try to get Harry Potter an Oscar for best picture. It is the best reviewed film in a franchise that spanned 8 movies and made billions of dollars. What better way to award the whole achievement of 8 pictures. The only problem is that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 features direction from one of the many directors who worked on the franchise and realistically it is only half a movie.

This new ad Warner Bros invokes emotion by showing all the most heartfelt moments in the film. It feels a lot like the direction that The Lord of the Rings franchise decided to go with for their Best Picture Campaign.
