Footage from Paul Thomas Anderson’s ‘The Master’

Posted May 21, 2012 by Max in Trailers

There was some new footage of Paul Thomas Anderson‘s The Master shown at Cannes this morning and now we have it here for you. I would hesitate to really call this a trailer, more like a preview of the principal photography and the sheer madness of Joaquin Phoenix (Is he really acting here? Scary).

Synopsis:

A 1950s-set drama centered on the relationship between a charismatic intellectual known as “the Master” whose faith-based organization begins to catch on in America, and a young drifter who becomes his right-hand man.

The Master stars Philip Seymour Hoffman, Joaquin Phoenix and Amy Adams. The film opens in the US on October 12th 2012.
