A friend of mine recommended ‘Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives'(Loong Boonmee raleuk chat) and I hadn’t heard of it before. Apparently it received raves at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival where it became the first Thai film to ever win the Palme D’Or.

The film, directed by Apichatpong Weerasethakul, follows the title character through his many past lives. It seems that his loved ones appear in forms of ghostly figures to care for him during this time. Check below for the trailer and ‘Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives’ opens in select theaters March 2nd.
