‘Die Hard 5’ Finds a Director: John Moore

Posted September 1, 2011 by Max in Film News

I seriously wish this series would Die Hard. It seems that Bruce Willis needs some money because they continuing the adventures of John McClaine. John Moore was pretty much confirmed at the end of July, but now it is official that he will be directing the next installment. The action is said to be taking place this time in Russia with John McClaine sharing the action with his son.

According to FilmSchoolRejects, Moore was originally dismissed by Willis who wasn’t so sure Moore was the right guy for the job. Meetings between the two followed and Moore eventually sold Willis on his approach to the franchise.

While the first Die Hard is cinema gold, I can’t say I feel the same for any of the sequels. There was just something special about the original that hasn’t been found since. That being said I’ll probably still end up seeing this in theaters, but can we get an R-rated Die Hard film this time, Bruce?
