Colin Firth Offered Lead Villain Role in Spike Lee’s ‘Oldboy’

Originally, Colin Firth was supposed to join Park Chan-wook first english language film, Stroker. That fell through though. Here’s a chance for Firth to star in a different Park Chan-wook film, this time being the remake of ‘Oldboy‘.

According to Twitch, An offer is out to Firth for the part of Adrian, which means that – should he accept – he will be stepping into the villain role opposite Josh Brolin.

I don’t see him a good choice for this role, but I also don’t think this movie is a good idea, so take it what you will. There’s a certain quality of insanity that needs to be reached and I don’t see Firth in that role. Let’s see if he actually joins the film.
