Two years ago, Rhode Island screenwriter Chris Sparling, surprised audiences with his script for the claustrophobic thriller, Buried. Another one of his scripts will now see the light of day in a new thriller called ATM. According to Collider, the film centers on three friends (Josh Peck(The Wackness) , Alice Eve (She’s Out of My League), and Brian Geraghty (The Hurt Locker)) who make a routine trip at night to pick up some cash from an ATM vestibule, but become trapped when a murderous psychopath threatens to psychopathically murder them. I didn’t get to see Buried, but some part of me was interested because I had the opportunity to meet Sparling. ATM looks like a bad second try at the same type of movie, but hopefully he will get more exposer.
