AFI Top 10 of 2011
The AFI announced their list of top films of 2011 today. This is the films that made the list.
The top 10 AFI movies of 2011:
“Bridesmaids,” “The Descendants,” “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,” “The Help,” “Hugo,” “J. Edgar,” “Midnight in Paris,” “Moneyball,” “The Tree of Life” and “War Horse.”
Special awards were given to ‘The Artist’ and the Harry Potter series of films.
Most of these were expected. The notable movie that missed out was ‘Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close’. It is unknown whether or not it was screened by the AFI before the awards were determined. It bears mentioning that ‘Bridesmaids’ was included in the top 10.
